We haven’t been to the remotest spots on earth, but whenever we wanted to get away from it all, it is surprisingly easy to do if you’ve got a boat, an open sea, and some hours to spend. There is nothing like the serenity of being on a boat in the middle of a calm, quiet sea, and a steady wind that takes you with it effortlessly. There’s almost no sound, but the gentle lapping of the water against the boat, the occasional flapping of sails, and yourself. It’s very easy to get lulled by the drowsy pattern of sounds and movements of the boat and when we experience it, I always felt that I could go on and sail on forever. This is the kind of serenity I would happily trade all the music in the world for.
This is part of The Daily Post’s Photo Challenge, for this week’s theme: Serenity.
