My husband took the picturesof Amsterdam one morning on his way to work. The fog that morning was particularly dense (no filter was used on the images), and the light quite low. The pictures came out moody, if not rather creepy, and they look like they were taken out of a completely different century. The fog had obscured most of the city’s modern features, one could imagine what Amsterdam looked like centuries ago.Below is another photo taken at the exact location, which is Amsterdam Werf ‘t Kromhout to be exact, on a clear winter morning. Only the boats look the same, everything else hidden before was now opened up all the way to the windmill.
